Benefits Of Recycling

Our base is in Lincolnshire and we are acquainted with many of the local farmers and have working experience of much of the farm land.

As pressure grows on industry to ‘make waste work’ and reduce the waste taken to landfill, recycling to agricultural land offers a safe waste management system with clear environmental and financial gains. It is recognised as the most appropriate method of managing many organic materials and offers the following benefits:

  • Cost saving of 50% or more
  • Productive use of waste
  • Reduced landfill usage
  • Reduced consumption of inorganic fertilisers / fossil fuels used to produce them
  • A more positive environmental image for waste producers
  • ‘Free’ source of valuable plant nutrients
  • Soil improver for very poor land
  • Compacted land has the benefit of a semi sub-soiling action during injection

Using the most up to date equipment materials are collected in 3000 to 6000 gallons vacuum tankers from the customer’s premises and transported either to the field injection site or treatment works as appropriate. Our company undertakes full analysis of all waste products prior to recycling to land. On reaching the field injection site the tanker off loads the material into purpose built holding tanks and it is then pumped by means of a radio controlled system to a tractor mounted injector unit which is fitted with a flow meter to ensure the correct application rates. The tractor is rubber tracked enabling it to travel in most soil conditions causing the least amount of disturbance and impact to the land and the environment.

Prior to injection all waste streams are regularly sampled and analysed to check the status of the nutrients and suitability for injection.
